Hotel Colonial, a restored neocolonial building nearly a century old is the perfect place for a restful vacation in cozy surroundings.

The hotel is located in the National Civic Center, one of the safest places in San José and close to tourist attractions such as the Central Park and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Nearby there are a variety of restaurants, shops, bus stops, and supermarkets.

The residence was built of brick, inlaid with hand carved precious woods and ironwork by the finest craftsmen of the period. The façade is abundantly studded with stone, while spiral columns grace the front garden.

From the lobby, vestibule and dinette, you may note the hand carved mahogany beams and corbels, and the cloister-like arches delimiting the common areas and the interior of the building.

All of the suites, single and double rooms, have private baths with hot water, overhead fans, phones and cable TV, and there are some with air conditioning. Several of the rooms are specially adapted for physically challenged guests.

Their pool is the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing or shopping. Complimentary WiFi is included in the rates so that you can stay connected to your friends, family, or business associates, should you so desire.
